General FAQs

Q. Who is eligible for Student pricing? 
A. Any college student with a valid student ID is eligible for Student pricing and will receive 10% off general admission adult tickets.
 
Q. Who is eligible for Senior pricing?
A. Any individual 65 years of age and over is eligible for Senior pricing.

Q. What ages of children are free?
A. Children under 3 are free. All guests, ages 3 and above require timed tickets.

Q. Is my ticket/membership refundable?
A. All sales are final unless the Museum cancels the event. All or part of a membership purchase is considered a tax deductible donation and is therefore not refundable. If you have questions before you purchase, please contact us at 303.370.6000, daily, 9 to 5 or at guestservices@dmns.org.
 
Q. Why am I prompted to buy General Admission tickets during checkout?
A. If you are prompted to buy General Admission, it is because you selected a product that requires General Admission (such as the Planetarium). If you do not choose to buy General Admission tickets online, you will have to buy them when you arrive at the Museum. 
 
Q. How do I receive Member pricing?
A. 1) Log in with your last name and member number at the top-right hand corner of the page.
     2) After you have logged in choose the product, date and time (if applicable), and number of member tickets.

Q. I have a school group, how do I purchase tickets for a school group?
A.
 For all school group ticket purchases and inquiries please contact our Guest Services department 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. 7 days a week at 303.370.6000. To view additional information for school groups, click here
 
Q. Do you have Military discounts available?
A. YesAs of October 1, 2018 all who serve or have served in the U.S. military receive a $3 discount on general admission to the Museum and a 10% discount on Dual through Family Plus level memberships. Please present a valid military ID at the time of transaction. These offers are available onsite at the Museum only.  The National Endowment for the Arts and Blue Star Families have made the decision to cancel Blue Star Museums for this year out of respect and equitable support for the museum field.
 
Q. I have a professional aide. Do they get free admittance to the Museum?
A.
 Yes, the aide is admitted to the Museum, Ticketed Exhibitions, and Gates Planetarium free of charge (one aide per visitor). To make a reservation for a professional aide, please call Guest Services at 303.370.6000.
 
Q. Why do I get an Internet Explorer 6 error at the top of my screen?
A. Internet Explorer 6 is a legacy and a largely unsupported browser throughout the Internet and VERY UNSECURE.  Large sites and companies such as YouTube have stopped support. Microsoft, the maker of Internet Explorer, is moving its users off of Internet Explorer 6
This is why we encourage our users to upgrade to a more secure and reliable browser such as the newest Internet Explorer or other browsers such as Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome, to fully experience our website and other sites throughout the internet.
